@PaulGarvey4 So agree with the agenda...I felt that the outcome was already decided, it was just a case of fitting the 'evidence' to it.

@SwailesRuth Your anonymous blogger is right Ruth, there but for the grace of God goes any headteacher with Ofsted in its current form. The resilience needed to survive is way beyond what it should be. And it’s down to one body, the pernicious @ofstednews. #abolishOfsted

@SwailesRuth Any judgement less than good can leave you feeling so much of this. The callous delivery of a judgement, that seems pre planned, on a evidence base that lacks rigour and substance, leaving senior leaders in tears...is an experience that shouldn't exist. There are better ways.

@SwailesRuth My 2 most recent inspections were led by ex-secondary teachers. One had been on the SLT, the other had been head of year. Where is the sense, the fairness, the knowledge????

@Oldprimaryhead1 @Ofstednews Do they seriously not realise that everyone has codes! We may not say the word but a look, a phrase makes it blatantly clear!

@kelvmackenzie A teacher does not get 13 weeks holiday. Teachers are paid for 195 days a year plus statutory holiday equated over 12 months.

@jonnybid I don't give treats to my staff because I think it compensates for the hours they work. I do it because I care for, saying thank you is important I also give time off, no quibbles and paid, for life events, appointments, children's assemblies etc. PPA at home and much more.

@Oldprimaryhead1 @paulgosling1968 @NAHTnews Yes, it does feel wrong, on all levels but if we don't what do we do, just carry on in an underfunded, broken system destroying those who work in it and letting down those passing through it? Our default as HTs is 'to make it work' and that is no longer acceptable.

Sunday Praise! This week, Margaret and I would like to say a great big "THANK YOU!" and send our very best wishes to everyone who is feeling fatigued, run down, worried or unwell. We have a tendency to dig deep and plod on but it's important that we look after ourselves too.

@CensoredHead We're ok this year but deficit for 23/24. To be honest I'm not stressing. In the black this year is a bonus...looking more than 1 yr ahead isn't feasible. We need to shout as loud as we can and hope they hear!
