As of a few days ago, Twitter shut off third-party API access, and leaked messages indicate it was intentional. And with that, I'm out. It's been a ride - see you all in the Fediverse! x.com/raaahbin/statu…

People probably haven’t noticed, because I never posted that much and the algorithm just fills the timeline anyway, but I’m pretty much gone from Twitter now. For microblogging/social networking, I’ve found the fediverse (mastodon) to be vastly superior for almost everything. 1/n

If you’d like to see anything I post on a microblogging platform now or in the future, you can find me at @[email protected] ; and if you’d like to know more - I already wrote that: medium.com/@raaahbin/so-l… 5/5

As a result, I’m about to commence the final step of all-but-leaving twitter: The Great Unfollow. It is very likely that if I currently follow you, I shortly won’t. It’s nothing personal - I’m unfollowing almost everyone. The criteria for not unfollowing are extremely narrow. 4/n

@JustJimWillDo “A pint’s a pound the world around” is a perfect encapsulation of imperial measurements *because it’s wrong in multiple ways*. A US pint of water weighs (only approximately) one pound, and that’s the only kind of pint that does.

@aliterative are you bringing Twist (or yourself in any other form) to the Melbourne Comedy Festival? I know shows are launched in batches, but I can’t see you there yet.

They can hardly end it after they are elected in March 2023 if they already voted to end it now, can they?

@Reynardo_red @thewildgoose @HeyIts_Meg @spaghettithighs @chaucerburnt true… I guess we own the ship now. Is 120GP expensive for a ship? Wonder what it had on board…

If a website’s search function has a “did you mean …?” feature, which automatically returns those results instead of what you actually typed, it should be legally required to provide a “no I fucking didn’t” button.

According to this, @FionaPattenMLC has voted against abolishing group voting tickets. This seems incongruous, considering how much Reason generally supports democratic principles. Is there a reason behind the reported defence of preference-whispering?
