Q5 is from @UCgolferNick: "The big thing I work on with my swing is making sure I’m covering the ball and not getting stuck. My favorite drills to work on that are to use the towel under both arms to work on that connection. What do others use?" #GolfChat

@realGolfchat @jwhmusic #GolfChat - A1 - I am not very good at practicing. I rarely go out and practice on the range. I usually play 4 rounds a week during the summer so I get plenty of reps on the course.
@realGolfchat @jwhmusic I think this is biggest thing holding people back from improving. Almost every friend I have that plays golf PLAYS way more than they practice. I’d say 2 to 1 is probably the minimum. I probably practice 4-5x more than I play…and when I play to improve play it down & putt it out

With 3 kids still at home i spend more time playing then practicing so just have happily settled into my 3-6 handicap range and have accepted i won’t be scratch again given family dynamics and preference for playing vs practice

@realGolfchat @jwhmusic My past experience has been you need a lot of both. Depending on when you’re at you made need reps for swing changes or you may need a lot of reps just playing golf. IMO time is better spent playing and figuring out how to score.

@realGolfchat @jwhmusic #golfchat I live near my practice facility, so it's easy to sneak away for some focused practice, even if it's 30 minutes or so. So I practice a lot, even in season.
