@SoCalRuss1983 @junebuggiebug Probably won't matter much (I am a Mint Mobile customer as well), but the Simplicity data is prioritized while MInt is an MVNO and that data is not prioritized. I've never had any problems with Mint, though.

If you'll let me clarify, I should have said ... because they offered Danny Dimes so much, it really limited their bargaining power when it came to SB. Think about it. DJ had that one good season and getting 4/$160? And they are having trouble coughing up $15-17 for SB? My point was if I were SB I'd have likely done the same thing. This is not a position I cling to with my life. Perhaps I'm wrong. It's just a casual opinion I posted on the internet.

I should have written my original post differently. In my view, the money was wasted on Jones, which I said that the time, and had they been more prudent with that money, they could have paid Barkley. I can see why you'd infer that I was saying they low-balled Barkley. Not my intent.

Remember, they paid Daniel Jones $160 million over four years. The Giants front office decide that he wasn't worth the additional investment that would be required to keep him, especially after the commitment they made to Jones. The put the franchise tag on Barkley which allowed them to keep him for $10.1 million. However, they had *already* offered him $12 million in a previous negotiation. So they ended up withdrawing that offer, and the whole thing became a fiasco. Later in the '23 season, Jones stunk up the joint, and Barkley was pissed about the contract negotiations. So they had all this money locked up with Jones and very little flexibility to pay Barkley. Philly came back with an offer that wasn't great, but allowed Barkley to sign with a contender for 3/$37.75M with $25M guaranteed. Paid off well for him as he rushed at a 2000-yard pace and won a Super Bowl. And the Giants, as was par for the course for them at the time, found themselves kicking rocks. The Giants could have put another franchise tag on Barkley in '24 but chose not to. Is that closer to the truth?
