Made this payment on sept 14-5:30pm after multipl attempts. The status still shows as “payment initiated” The payment rejection hasnt happened, nor the challan is generated. The amount has not come back to the bank account as well! @IncomeTaxIndia #Extend_Due_Date_Immediately

Not even 7 crore Income Tax Returns (ITRs) have been filed yet on 15-sep The tax portal has experienced multiple glitches in the last four days. @IncomeTaxIndia should, in the interest of taxpayers, notify an extension; otherwise, a flood of litigation may ensue.
