@GergelyOrosz I know people who went through burn out because they were identified by their managers as poor performers and were forced to stay with the manager until they perform better. Organizations should protect the employees from bad or new managers. Employees should be allowed to move.

@jackspringman @tomfgoodwin I was addressing the OP. Because I think he is confusing GDPR with cookie law. As a “techie”, I have to implement GDPR and even though it is quite limiting in many aspects, I would not want to go with out it. It is mostly common sense.

@Bill_Gross @bobmonsour I didn’t dig very deep. But I am not sure if everyone would respond truthfully to all the questions in an online session. Especially when expressing dissatisfaction can be directly or indirectly a criminal act in their country.

Finally, the profit center vs cost center issue. You *cannot* be a tech-first company when tech is a cost center. And yet many companies treat tech like this: before the transformation, and after the transformation. Of course that these transformations fail in this setup.

@bajicdusko Interesting I will consider that. I think you can easily transfer 80% of the communications in written form. It also gives some structure. But that 20% is subtle information that the person communicating doesn’t consider important info and it comes out after a longer discussion.
