"He warned people about a collapsing bridge is what he did! He was a brave West Virginian cryptid! And in this house, Mothman is a hero. End of story!”

Now that Bigfoot has been proven to be fake we can dedicate our efforts into finding a real cryptid like Mothman

A sea story from 25 years ago… Today started with coffee and a slight hangover from the night before. We were moored at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, completing munitions loading. I was the ship’s Chief Engineer (CHENG). By 0600 I was in the wardroom of USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) having coffee and breakfast with the ship’s Weapons Officer (WEPS). He and I were discussing the issues of the ship and I relieved him as the ship’s Command Duty Officer - the officer in charge of running the ship while in port. We said goodbye to the Operations Officer and the Combat Systems Officer, who had meetings back in Norfolk. And the day began, just like any other day.

September 10, 2001… I was a Lieutenant in the Navy. My ship was moored at Naval Weapon Station Yorktown loading Standard Missiles and other munitions after an extended maintenance period. That night, I was out with my Sailors at the All Hands Club buying pitchers of beer.

We remember Sir Sam Neill (1947–2026), whose remarkable career left a lasting mark on audiences around the world. For naval audiences, Neill will be remembered for his role as Captain Second Rank Vasily Borodin, the steadfast executive officer aboard the Soviet submarine Red October in The Hunt for Red October (1990). His portrayal of Borodin's professionalism, loyalty, and quiet courage helped make the film one of the most respected naval thrillers ever brought to the screen. Fair winds and following seas, Sir Sam Neill. ⚓
