If the value you’re creating is just the vibe-coded app, then yeah… expect to get disrupted. The app isn’t the value. It’s just the mechanism delivering it. If anyone can build the same thing, you have to compete somewhere else distribution, brand, proprietary data, workflow, community, trust, service, network effects, etc. Figure out what layers of value make the customer choose you even when OpenAI can copy the feature. and if OpenAI doesn’t disrupt you, a competitor eventually will. The work is building the moat while delighting and delivering value to your customer!

Building a YouTube clone isn’t the same as building a YouTube competitor. You still need creators, viewers, and a reason to switch. Vibe coding helps with the software…not the whole business. Also people should solve problems nobody’s solved yet. Not put effort into something that exists already…

Don’t work just to pay bills. Work to serve people to solve problems…create value…or build something new... Ideally, the value you create is worth far more than what you’re doing to create it. Money becomes a byproduct of being useful. And if you can do that in an area you feel genuinely pulled toward, work stops feeling like something you endure just to afford life. It becomes part of what makes life meaningful… and a lot of it ends up becoming fun!!
