I have come home early today after teaching because I am still ill and I have just settled down on the bed to watch a bit of trash telly. I’m so relieved to be having a rest for an hour I feel like crying!

My husband has been my absolute rock recently. He has propped me up, given me pep talks, helped me with lesson plans, taken me for a beautiful birthday dinner, and has made me fall in love with him all over again. We both waited a lifetime to find a love like this. So grateful ❤️

Can’t wait til I get quicker at lesson planning. Insanely slow and that was with help. I have only done about a third of next week’s and it took me several hours 😭

Hard to pin one down but 2020 if pushed. Pandemic, key worker, union repping, 3 kids at home, faced with imminent terminal breakdown of marriage, finances on the rocks… hardly a surprise I ended up being signed off for 6 weeks.

Tbh I just would quite like to retire. I’ve done 31 years of work. That’s plenty. I’m tired, I have worked hard, brought up 3 kids without much help, never really seen the world. I want to live a bit. And no, I don’t want to do my planning, which is what I have to do now 😆

I’m so common. I once got left for another woman who had the same birthday as me. It really annoyed me, that. She was 10 years older though so I did take comfort in that 😆

Cancelled my singing lesson. I haven’t been this term yet. 3 lessons missed due to illness and the course stress of week 1 of my PGCE. Yikes. No point going with the way I am feeling though 😭

So over being ill. 10 days now. Current symptoms: exhaustion, dizziness, headache, sinus pain, sore throat, bunged up. It’s my birthday too. Not feeling very celebratory tbqhwy.

Burnt the dinner by turning the wrong burner off while I went to the loo. It’s been a really crap few days tbh, I still feel awful and I haven’t been able to rest yet. Hours of work still to do and I have to go to a strange school tomorrow. Really trying not to cry tbh

Thought I’d treat myself to some of the granola I bought for myself last week. Hadn’t had any yet. Just got the pack out of the cupboard. There was approximately a table spoon of crumbs left at the bottom 😭 #teenagers
