The idea that the majority of anesthesiologists are fraudulent in any significant way based on 20% of anesthesiologists having a propensity to round procedures to a number ending in 0 or 5 to get an avg of $60 extra per case when most are salaried by their employer is one of the dumber assertions I’ve seen health policy wonks make.
I have nothing personal against Doctors and believe that most get into it for the right reasons. Many may not even be aware of how their guild organizations like the AMA and other associations use their power but objectively they are a huge part of the cost problem
