Saudi officials visited Yemen in 2023 to negotiate peace with the de facto authorities that survived a brutal US-Saudi war & blockade But the deal was never finalized Now, with Sanaa's military far stronger than before, a deal remains the best path for all parties & civilians

A renewed truce/possible peace deal in #Yemen would be a huge development, but there cannot be true peace until the harms done to civilians in this conflict are addressed. #Accountability is a necessity, not a barrier, to sustainable peace.

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Navi Pillay has called for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stand trial for genocide in Gaza. trib.al/YAT9y9I

Saudi Arabia massacred at least 10 Yemenis today, including children. If you defend Saudi Arabia's actions in Yemen, no matter what you tell yourself, this is what you're defending.

“I don’t know how parents can raise such monsters,” Washington Post journalist Heidi Levine says of the Jewish settlers who attacked her in the West Bank today. How can our governments support this monstrous Israeli state?

Despite Israel’s efforts to deny its direct evidence, the film NAZA is receiving rave reviews because it powerfully reveals the Israeli military’s clinical devaluing of Palestinian civilian life in Gaza, all told by Israeli military officers themselves. trib.al/ToyA0a5

A useful reminder from Dr. @shireen818 al-Adeimi: Yemenis have never tolerated invaders 📌 Under Ottoman & British control, Yemenis rebelled constantly 📌 In the 1960s, Saudi Arabia & Egypt under Nasser backed opposing side in a Yemeni civil war. Both countries learned not to interfere in Yemen's affairs. 🫣 But MBS forgot that lesson. @DropSiteNews (Link in reply for the algo)

"Gaza has exposed how Europe’s supposedly universal commitment to human rights is now conditional on whose suffering is recognized, whose resistance is considered legitimate and whose demands for justice are considered worthy of attention." trib.al/z2Yy5At

A predictable result of the White House's inability to read the writing on the wall and sue for peace with Iran. Democrats will have to show the backbone to pull funding for this catastrophe (and block US support for the Saudis in Yemen) if they're serious about opposing it.

If you are trying to view NAZA, the documentary film written and directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, be aware that Israel in its mendacious, deceitful manner has created a similarly named film to throw off your search. Israel’s propaganda piece is called “NAZA: The Real Story” and it is not what you are looking for. Mossad agents are working overtime trying to get you to view the phony Hasbara piece instead of the real film. This one is phony:

A friend of mine watched the NAZA film at an arthouse cinema in NYC. This is how he described the moment it ended: “When the film was over, a wave of silence swept through the theater. People looked at one another, unable to speak” Anyway, watch NAZA…

"It is hard to overstate the scale of death, destruction, and suffering inflicted on Gaza... The 223,000 tons of explosives dropped on Gaza—roughly equivalent to 15 times the power of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima—have killed more than 74,000 Palestinians, the vast majority of them civilians, and reduced most of Gaza to rubble. Israel’s assault, over which it is currently on trial for genocide at the International Court of Justice, has wiped out some 92 percent of Gaza’s housing stock, 95 percent of its farmland, all 12 of its universities, and nearly half of its 36 hospitals—in other words, the very institutions and infrastructure that sustain life." - @elgindy_ foreignaffairs.com/palestinian-te…

US-based advocacy group Just Foreign Policy said Sunday that “there is nothing less America First than waging an unconstitutional war to defend the corrupt Saudi regime.” “The Saudis should use diplomacy to resolve their dispute,” the group added. -@johnsonjakep @commondreams

Tell CNN: talk about diplomacy in Yemen! @NicRobertsonCNN @OrenCNN @BeckyCNN CNN must report the truth: diplomacy could resolve this Saudi-Yemen war! CNN once covered the US-backed Saudi blockade of Yemen (see 2021 @nimaelbagir @jaketapper report)

CNN agitating for war in Yemen — zero mention of diplomacy "They have to find a way to defeat these strikes by the Houthis" Riyadh's bombing of Sanaa airport restarted the war — if Saudis announce an end to restrictions on Yemen's air and sea ports, the war would likely pause

Congratulations Justice Pillay! The committee in granting her the Nobel peace prize: “An international legal system in which war criminals are held to account and the victims of abuse see justice served is a precondition for a peaceful world.” May this justice start in Palestine

After the election, will @SenSchumer quietly help Trump & GOP approve Iran War funding? Zero @SenateDems who voted for Iran War Powers should help Trump pass a Continuing Resolution that funds the illegal & immoral Iran War Americans want war to end & gas prices to come down

❌ Dems must cut all Iran War funding — NOW! 💸 Any Dem support for Iran war funding this year would allow war to continue — raising US gas prices & intentionally harming 90M+ Iranian civilians 🛑 Dems must fight to block Iran War funding in a Continuing Resolution THIS YEAR
