LOOK: Missouri has no age limit to buy and carry this weaponry. The 19-year-old school gunman in St Louis had an AR-15 and 600 rounds of ammo in 30-round magazines. There’s no background check or permitting required to carry these guns loaded, in public. This is fucking insane.

The 19-year-old wasn’t old enough rent a car, but he could buy weapons of war. Meanwhile, the NRA and its GOP allies want to lower the national age limit to buy a handgun to 18, even though 18 to 20-year-olds are FOUR TIMES as likely to commit gun homicides as adults over 21.

Not only are MAGA Republicans saying there’s nothing they can do to stop gun violence, THEY’RE MAKING IT EASIER. Here’s Missouri @GovParsonMO celebrating passing the Second Amendment Preservation Act, forbidding enforcement of federal gun laws more stringent than the state's.
Spare me the “Republicans are tough on crime” narrative. THIS IS LAWLESSNESS. The St. Louis school had metal detectors, the doors were locked, and there were seven armed guards on campus. Republicans will say the solution is more guns. On Nov 8, tell them they’re full of shit.
@shannonrwatts This once again highlights the need for election reform. When the gun lobby is able to put $16M into Republican campaigns annually, it has an impact. We won’t ever get common sense gun laws that reduce gun violence until we get special interest money out of US politics.
@shannonrwatts Lobbying in the Insurance industry is far greater than the gun industry. Turn it over to them. This kid can have an AR-15, but he should have been paying $2,500 per year to insure it. Given his age.
@shannonrwatts Typical gun owner = 5$ per year per gun. Gun owner with a record of domestic violence = $1000.00 per year per gun. Hey, it's your 2A right...if you can afford it. You want a tank- SURE! 25MM per year per tank.
@shannonrwatts @Patbagley Suggesting more guns to solve a gun violence problem is like suggesting more cars will fix a traffic problem.
@shannonrwatts Here’s one more thing that is being done here in NY. #GunSafety #VoteBlueForSoManyReasons
@shannonrwatts White Collar Crime is called "the cost of doing business" to repubs.
@shannonrwatts Armed guards and he made it that far??? Um something don't add up
