28 hours without any sleep & continuous work. It's not just me but many of my colleagues who infact worked harder than me. Govt servants have their own flaws but when it comes to working on mission mode for any emergency they are second to none. COVID is an example.

The Ola/Uber drivers are becoming the 'new precariot' in real sense. Many of them are working at someplace during one part of day and moonlighting as Ola/Uber driver in the other to make their ends meet, hardly getting minimum sleep of not even 4 hrs.

There can be NO sympathy for Atiq Ahmed.. he was a criminal who ran a mafia operation. But there must be grave concern over the ‘normalisation’ of a double murder taking place in presence of armed cops and live tv cameras. State is meant to enforce RULE OF LAW not RULE BY GUN.

Why do some academics write in a complicated manner? 1. Surprisingly, sometimes it is because they aren’t sure of what they are saying 2. They hope complicated writing will divert readers’ attention from poor arguments 3. And, of course, a false sense of intellectual grandeur!
