@nikesharora Team morale and conviction weaken all the way to the bottom when the leader and top layer don't exude confidence.
Curious: how do you maintain that confidence while facing high-stakes uncertainty?
@Mor34832Morgan I think big money is reducing memory exposure, book profits and buy compute, software and healthcare. NVDA is already close to $40B in trade today vs $25B avg/day last week. MU/SNDK did close to NVDA daily but today is far behind.
You have a superpower you're probably not using enough. But you should be.
So let's talk about encouragement!
At any time, you can just shoot a friend, or even stranger, a quick note letting them know something they made or said or did was wonderful.
It might take you 30 seconds to share your appreciation and let them know what it means or how it inspired you, but to the person receiving it, it'll very likely make their day if not week. That ability, to speak a few words into existence that turns into joy for the recipient and might be remembered forever, is a superpower.
For one reason or another, it feels like as we age we tend to ration our praise. I think that's stupid. It should be the opposite.
One of the most powerful gifts you can give to someone is to let them know you're proud of them, or that they're doing a great job, or that you're simply glad they're in your life.
So whenever you think of someone, or see something they did that you enjoyed or appreciated, tell them! Be lavish in your encouragement, and make your corner of the world that much brighter today.
@TradingThomas3 Couldn't comprehend the market reaction here. NVDA's 15% hike is fully passing memory price spike to hyperscalers which affects hyperscalers' margins but hyperscalers are up while NVDA and memory is down.
$MU Some context for the recent pressure in Micron stock.
Leopold Aschenbrenner’s Situational Awareness fund ended Q2 with an extremely concentrated AI infrastructure book — SanDisk $SNDK at 28% ($5.7B) and Micron $MU at 27.5% ($5.6B).
After Citadel took over much of that portfolio, it reportedly moved quickly to de-risk, unloading more than 80% of the inherited exposure through nearly 100 block trades totaling $4B+.
That matters for $MU. When a significant hedge fund holder suddenly becomes a motivated seller, price can disconnect from fundamentals as the market absorbs a massive amount of supply.
This looks less like the market questioning Micron’s AI-memory thesis and more like a technical overhang from a concentrated portfolio unwind. And news likes this trigger more selling from algos to leverage momentum plays for quick gains via bearish selling almost every day on open (but a quick buyback before close into a gap-up on the following day).
And if Citadel has already worked through 80%+ of that exposure, much of that selling pressure may now be behind us.
