Saints do not come from a “parallel universe”. They are believers rooted in their daily activities with their families, study, work; social, economic and political life. In all these settings, they fearlessly strive to carry out God’s will.
Discernment is demanding but indispensable for living. It requires a filial relationship with God. God is Father and He does not leave us alone. He is always willing to welcome us. But He never imposes His will. Why? Because He wants to be loved and not feared. #GeneralAudience
During difficult moments, let us not close in on ourselves, shutting Jesus out. Let us seek Jesus, return to him, to his forgiveness, to those wounds that have healed us. In this way, we too will become capable of compassion, of approaching the wounds of others.
