@elonmusk This is insane amount of improvement for a large scale application with many millions of users. It is only achievable when the person on the top understands the fundamentals and has the willingness to do what’s right.

@farzyness IMHO the real difference is given a chance to be a dictator for the rest of their lives, Trump would take it and Biden would not. The rest are mostly politics.

@neutrino78x @MattWallace888 No doubt that some of those left are great engineers. But I bet there are also some great ones have stayed. Maybe they are introverts and don’t like to jump, maybe they just love Twitter too much, or maybe their visa doesn’t allow them easily to. They are the hope for Twitter.

@elonmusk IMHO, in an organization like Twitter, there are always great engineers hidden in plain sight. They may not be great in company politics or even networking, but they are great at what they do. They can be hardcore and no drama under the right circumstances.

There are many people around the world who are not impacted by the war, but still care about Ukrainian deeply. Telling these people to shut up is counterproductive.

@lukaseder @FranckPachot I have seen this in older versions of the Oracle database. Even if you have proper join conditions, Oracle CBO will choose Cartesian join if it believes one table will only return one row. Costly decision if the estimate is wrong.

@elonmusk @RationalEtienne @arctechinc Knowing something is not perfect and still complaining about it - I would call that whining at the best. It seems to me there are some frustrations that some FSD issues are not being addressed soon enough, but whining is not going to get you anywhere.

@BriannaWu If the file format is optimized for storage efficiency, the estimate is not that far off. If you are trying to transfer large amount of data, you should always optimize for efficiency. If compression tool is used, the file size should be less than 10 GB.
