Stanley Forward @stanley_forward

In under 24 hours, 100+ people have signed the petition for @GastonGOP Chairman Denton to resign as #Stanley deputy town manager & decline the town manager position which he is supposed to take on 1/1/26. c.org/HML5fbMBmR @WBTV_News @gastongazette @QueenCityNews

Wondering today how @GastonGOP is feeling after their endorsed Stanley town council candidates (who gave the Gaston GOP chairman a $170k P/T patronage job) are feeling after yesterday's huge upset. @gastongazette @wcnc @WBTV_News & @QueenCityNews: please ask us about it!

Silence isn't leadership. Why is the @townofstanley leadership hiding how much our *elected* officials and those the council appointed are making? Stanley's reputation for zero transparency continues! @WBTV_News @wcnc @gastongazette #transparency #StanleyNC

Which candidates in the @townofstanley Town Council race will work towards responsible government, open communication, smarter budgets, and transparent government? 2/2

The @townofstanley has poorly communicated, recklessly spent taxpayer money, failed to produce timely required audits & public records requests, provided evidence re: public works projects, road closures & if financial means even exist to repair deteriorating infrastructure. 1/2

The Stanley town council gerrymandered Jefferson Park from Ward 2 to Ward 3. Was it for "equitable representation,"or that they wanted appointed At-Large councilman Stewart (who lives at the red dot in the picture) to be able to run for the open seat? @wsoctv @wbtv @gastongazette

@townofstanley creates strange #gerrymander by redistricting Jefferson Park to Ward 2. Why there? Probably because appointed At-Large Councilmen Drew Stewart lives at that red dot in Jefferson Park & the Ward 2 Council Seat is up for election. @WBTV_News @wsoctv @gastongazette

The @townofstanley has decided to unilaterally gerrymander the Town without so much as a public hearing, then delete the public's comments on it. Is this is an effort to ensure their handpicked Ward 2 Councilmember can run again? @NCAGO @gastongazette @WBTV_News

This month's @townofstanley Town Council Meeting will be tonight at 6:00pm at Town Hall. Be sure to show up so that they can't slip anything (like the public records paywall) past you! #TownofStanley #StanleyNCForward

@GastonGOP Let's start at home. Help us with the @townofstanley's lack of ethics.

This is the kind of thing Gaston County residents can expect. It happened in the @townofstanley last June, and now it's happening in the @CityofGastonia. Please, someone, stop the madness! @WBTV_News @wcnc @gastongazette @GastonVotes

The Stanley Town Council says it "values transparency," yet public records requests from nearly a year ago have been ignored and remain unfulfilled. How is the Public Records Paywall working to help the @townofstanley? gastongazette.com/story/news/loc…… via @gastongazette

In August, the @townofstanley Council tried to head off questions about their appointment of their new Deputy Town Manager with a quickly created FAQ. Last night, Stanley citizens asked their own FAQ to the Council. #StanleyNCForward @WBTV_News @gastongazette @wcnc #StanleyNC

#StanleyNC is seeking to fill Mayor Kirkland's vacated seat. They claim this is in "the spirit of open government." We wish this "open government" would have included the Dep. Town Manager position which was created & filled the same day w/o our knowledge townofstanley.org/CivicAlerts.as…
