I'm still learning, still refining. But every outreach teaches me the same thing: great documentaries are built on trust, not just compelling visuals. Sometimes the most valuable skill isn't the one you plan to learn. It's the one the story demands of you.

Who to approach first. Instead of randomly selecting, I looked for people already smiling, already wanting to share. My job was simply to listen.

One of the hardest parts of documentary storytelling wasn't operating the camera. It was asking people to tell me their story. 🧵

If my first 5 years taught me how to be a better filmmaker... I hope the next 5 teach me how to be a better leader. Because you build something alone. You build something that lasts when you build people. 🙌 #Leadership #Filmmaking #CreativeBusiness #TeamBuilding #Mentorship

My goal isn't to build people who work for me. It's to build creatives who can represent our standard of excellence — with or without me behind the camera.

For 5 years, I worked almost entirely alone. At first it wasn't a choice. Then it became my comfort zone. Biggest lesson: I'd built a bottleneck. 🧵

Real impact isn't built overnight — it's built through consistent work over time. And that work deserves to be documented. Not just for today, but as a record that can inspire tomorrow.

This weekend: documenting a free medical outreach for Idumuje-Uno & Idumuje-Ugboko. Organized by @DAHFoundation & @KOAFoundation — bringing free healthcare to communities that need it. 🧵

This year's theme: "Beyond Borders" 🌍 My team and I aren't just packing cameras — we're getting ready to capture the conversations and breakthroughs that outlast the event itself.
