It’s kind of bizarre to feel the need to say it, but it’s a very very bad sign for a society if one cannot freely protest a genocide, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, mass graves, and the mass incineration of children. That is a very bad place for a culture to be.
So many people are saying this in my mentions. As if the only options were a full scale ground invasion war or nothing. Try imagining a world where there are options in response to tragedy other than war

Which ends up making their argument not that police brutality is bad and should not happen. That ethnonationalism is bad and should be rooted out. That fascism is bad and should be destroyed. But rather that is should also happen to white people, instead of not happen at all.
What is a bit scary to me is that for people like this (often also white) it is whiteness that supersedes everything else: fascism, authoritarianism, ethnonationalism, police brutality, even things like misogyny or homophobia. It is bad only if whiteness is at the core of it.
@mehdirhasan The "sick of it" audience, the had-it audience, the want it my way crowd. These are the tailgaters of society, the people that only want other people not to be in there way. In a sense its a plausible version of freedom, the Gordon Gecko kind.

Some people are just MEAN for no good reason. 3 different rude as hell (boomer generation) white people at the stores today. They have no manners at all. 0 manners, 0 respect for other people sometimes, not all the time. My nervous system dysfunction is acting up bc I got upset.
