.@GCRTA @CLEforTransit Here on the corner of Superior Ave / East Broadway there was an electronic sign that used to show riders the times (in real time) of the upcoming buses. Then about six months ago it stopped working. And now it's gone. Why can't we have nice things?
@swandad @GCRTA @CLEforTransit You can get that info off an app
@briangerard13 @swandad @GCRTA Not everyone has a smartphone
@briangerard13 @swandad @GCRTA No not really. Technology is a privilege a lot of people don’t have access to. Also, phones run out of battery life. Having something like an electric sign is important.
@CLEforTransit @swandad @GCRTA No, really. People choose to carry a phone. Anyone can carry one. Everyone has access to it. People can manage their phone battery life. People can carry chargers. An electric sign is not important, millions travel on public transportation without using them.
@briangerard13 @CLEforTransit @GCRTA NYC has millions of citizens yet their transit system have electronic signs throughout their system. And it's a vital part of the daily commute. If it works great and their commuters appreciate having it, why can't that be the case here?
@swandad @CLEforTransit @GCRTA almost equivalent. But really, use an app
