🚨Catherine Herridge actually READ the declassified China files. And what she found goes far beyond “election influence.” The records describe: • China collecting “black materials” compromising information to use as leverage. • A Chinese blackmail threat against a U.S. administration official that U.S. intelligence assessed as credible. • Intelligence prepared for the President’s Daily Brief. Herridge reviewed the records and reached an explosive conclusion: she believes the targeting was “probably about” Joe Biden’s family. Now add the context Americans already know. Hunter Biden reported millions in income in 2017 and 2018, much of it tied to Chinese and Ukrainian interests despite Joe Biden publicly insisting his son had not made money from China. And there’s another piece that deserves scrutiny: internal intelligence communications reportedly discussed having “massaged” a pending PDB to remove direct election links. So no, the real question isn’t why Catherine Herridge went looking. The question is why so much of the national press apparently DIDN’T. Chinese blackmail operations involving American officials are a national-security story regardless of whose name or political party is involved. Herridge called the media’s response “willful blindness.” After reading what was sitting in the declassified files, it’s a fair question: Why weren’t more journalists digging into this? Rhetorical!
