We watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights this morning and I was surprised to see it’s critic score on Rotten Tomatoes is only 42%! It’s so funny and silly in my opinion, what’s not to love?! Any other fans out there? And why do you think critics scored it so low?
Ok, so this is odd. Came across 2 items on Vinted which are priced at $1000 each, two coats…one is just a coat from Gap. Took some photos…nothing in the description just random letters. Any ideas about why these items are so expensive?

So I finally watched The Rocketeer the other day after the insane amount of people on here telling me to watch it. And, it did not disappoint! It was very entertaining and a whole lot of fun. I even think the effects had dated very well. Timothy Dalton is sogood as a villain.
I’m not a huge fan of the first film but Top Gun: Maverick was hugely entertaining and a great popcorn blockbuster.

@the_film_bee I watched Men in Tights for a podcast last year and it was hysterical. I don't get why so many critics disliked it. 1993 had four of these parody style comedies and they were all hilarious. Loaded Weapon, Hot Shots Part Deux, and Fatal Instinct.
@the_film_bee This one always goes together with 'Sky Captain' for me. You can see what they're trying to do, so many of the individual parts are great, but... never quite lands emotionally. Leading men in both are weak links.
@the_film_bee Yes! One of the Brooks movies I grew up with! Critics are weird with comedy and often consider sillier films beneath them, I think.
@the_film_bee I liked it well enough. Maybe because it wasn't as outrageous as Blazing Saddles? Of course, if Richard Pryor worked on *my* movie, it'd be freaking brilliant.

@the_film_bee Love this movie! It's a comedy classic in my house. I think the low critic score is unfortunately because it's not as strong as his past work. There was a time in the 90's when it seemed like Mel was just making fun of classic literature instead of doing original ideas.
@the_film_bee I think it's because it's more a spoof of PRINCE OF THIEVES than of Robin Hood himself. Songs are great but a lot of it was too obvious.
@the_film_bee My favorite part is when Secord escapes by hang gliding from a scale model of the Spruce Goose, and Howard Hughes exclaims, "That son of a bitch *will* fly!"
