Caledon, Ontario: These two stole all the bags of firewood available for sale roadside for the second time in less than a month. They have enough money for a +$100k Denali pickup but would rather steal than pay people for their hard work. Make them famous, these people are turning Canada into a low trust society.

A RECORD THAT WILL NEVER BE BROKEN! 31 years ago today, Cal Ripken Jr. did something modern sports barely understands anymore. He showed up. Again. And again. Until he played his 2,131st straight game and broke Lou Gehrig’s record. No load management. No “mental health day” every other Tuesday. Just an ironman shortstop who treated the lineup card like a duty. You won’t see that kind of streak again, and that’s exactly why it still hits. America used to celebrate guys who never quit. Ripken was that guy.  Still love him for it! GOAT

@GilesLMcKenzie @Hertz @Hertz same in Canada run by scammers.

Dear @hertz, You suck. I paid for a 7 passenger minivan to be picked up tomorrow for a family vacation we're supposed to go on this weekend, but have been informed by your Tyler, TX location that the minivan is not available and, in fact, there are no minivans available anywhere, apparently. Super awesome, though, that y'all can refund me my money in 7 business days for a vacation I leave for in 3 days. Awesome. Even if y'all were to refund it to me and get it to me today, it's an additional $200 to rent from your competitor, @Enterprise, because it's just such short notice - are y'all going to give me that extra $200 for that? I don't understand how we pay for a reservation, but your location(s) aren't required to fulfill those reservations, especially when they had adequate time to make sure it would be fulfilled. Your customer service is non-existent. There's no way to escalate this, or to even figure out who the regional or district managers are. The location numbers just go to dial tone, so I can't even contact them. This has been a disaster. Sincerely, A very upset Husband & Dad who has to now figure out how to cancel the family trip we've been planning for months and hope everywhere else we've already paid for will understand enough to give us refunds so close to the time we're supposed to be there and then, the most frustrating part, having to break the hearts of everyone in his family who had been saving and planning for this for such a long time. To everyone else out there: avoid your future troubles and don't use @hertz.

This isn't fair, comrade

Canadian here -- if you're curious as to "what is going ON with Canada" I can tell you Canada has an entire political class and media that is 100% dependent on fueling the war with the USA to survive. Without this conflict, they only have a record of failure and propaganda

🚨 KEYSTONE XL IS BACK! President Trump just announced he is pausing the 50% tariffs on Canada for three days. Reason: The U.S. and Canada have a deal to revive the Keystone XL Pipeline — the same one Biden killed on day one. Trump: “The great Keystone XL Pipeline, long ago killed by Sleepy Joe Biden, may be awoken from the grave!” America First energy is returning.

I know a brilliant 34 year old Brazilian paediatric oncologist with degrees from top European universities, who speaks English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian. Literally the ideal immigrant. He was doing a research fellowship in Toronto. But even with my help (a former Immigration Minister,) he couldn’t get permanent residency last year, so left for a top hospital in Texas. Consider the opportunity cost for Canadian kids with cancer, or his potential fiscal and research contributions. Gone forever.😡 Meanwhile, folks who came here on dodgy study permits and as low skilled TFWs who barely speak basic English get PR to deal with the huge overhang of temporary residents and overstayers from the Trudeau years. It is impossible to overstate the catastrophic damage done to our immigration system by the Trudeau government. So could someone explain to me why people like @SeanFraserMP, who presided over one of the greatest policy failures in modern Canadian history, are still in Cabinet?

Randomly checking the latest Express Entry draws and it's wild. Canada’s immigration system is so catastrophically cooked that I genuinely don’t know how anyone expects it to be fixed anytime soon. We’re watching highly qualified researchers and engineers leave because Canada

I’m detecting a lot of seemingly random anti “dog as pet” type articles and posts popping up with increasing frequency. The same with anti-alcohol “health related” articles. I. Wonder. Why.
