@ZachIngles I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say that training replaces playing. Always, always, always, have to keep the appropriate balance.

@bomberjacket5 @bball_brainiac1 Jump stops are not best for loading up to initiate contact. They are best for optional pivot work. If you land outside, inside that’s easily the best for initiating contact. If you want to call multiple footworks a jump stop, atleast know there are variations.

Movement over use. Expose players to new movements. Change how they move. What they decide to use is secondary. Great work by our EYCL ladies

I really like the intensity and shot making ability of 2028 @Taylorlloyd_3 of Dream Loudly. Her 16U squad is loaded with ballers!!! @LBInsider @LBIPremierBB @CoachCharve

.@TrainImpossible Micah Lancaster uses Decision Mode on The Gun 14X Smart Pass to train aggressive scorers with intent. Players know what shot they want while staying ready for the possibility of something else. Purpose beats randomness every time.

So I started an AAU program…it’s time for West Michigan to Dream Loudly!

The answer isn’t to end AAU. It’s to fix the system. ✅ Less wasted tournaments. ✅ More quality practices. ✅ Coaches free to teach team concepts and small-sided games -not wasting a single second on skill work because our players already have that covered in our training

Pivots are undertrained.
Start here- train these three at high speeds first.
Then layer in pace and variability. 1. Step Thru 2. Reverse Pivot Spin 3. Add Step Around

Luka’s not overly quick. He doesn’t jump high. But he freezes the best defenders in the league. Over 20,000 people voted on what makes him so hard to guard. His timing. Between his dribble… and his feet. What do you think?

This combination is elite! You might want to consider adding this to your Samsonite Ziplite 3.0 Hardside Spinner Luggage set 💼 like @DesmondClaude And yes, he’s worked these techniques. You can too!

Dame can shoot with a true jump shot like shown and with a fluid “one motion” shot whenever he wants. The point…it’s nice to have both.

This is one of the highest arc shots I remember taking. Which brings me to the question. How important is the ability to adjust your arc in the moments of the game?

Every play has its details. The techniques we can study and learn from. - But for this one, I want to draw attention to the Open Drop footwork with a Punch.

The amount of identifiable skills in this play are amazing. But to me, the most important one to draw attention to is the Motion Pocket.

Game reads happen fast, but it all starts with the ability to read, respond, and execute. Can you make decisions with your eyes and have the skills to follow through? The best part: you can train this alone and build that edge. 🏀

In basketball, responding > reacting. Reactions are unconscious, but responses are calm and calculated. It’s not about pre-planning moves—it’s about training to respond with confidence in real-time. We help players become intentional, composed, and effective on the court.
