@Devon_Eriksen_ The people who were protecting “the earth” have moved on from that silent constituency to protect “future generations” from rogue ai powered by evil data centers that are threatening “the earth”. They actually get to save the old constituency while protecting the new one.

Here’s an idea. Professors who have spent their professional life studying a subject actually teach the courses to the students. Schools could eliminate millions in payroll expenses from not hiring adjunct temps to perform one, if not the, core functions of a college or university which is educate their students (customers)

Is there a human left at @Verizon that can help with a downed line?

Fixed it.... The reason poverty exists in the wealthiest country on Earth is not because we can't feed the poor. It's because we can't satisfy the government greed for revenue. Elon Musk is about to become the first trillionaire. He's about to create more value than every elementary school teacher in America combined. Can you believe one man can create more than every elementary school teacher? Why do we have a trillionaire when there are kids without enough to eat, cancer patients going bankrupt, and veterans sleeping on the street? Didn’t answer the question. I'm all for success, but this is not success. And this is hoarding an example of what a free society can create. What leads a person to accumulate more money than they could possibly spend in 100 lifetimes when there are people starving in this one? Didn’t answer this question either. What we can do is starve government of exorbitant fraud and abuse and use that money to guarantee the God given potential of every American citizen to pursue their own individual happiness.

@realEstateTrent It flips after 60

We are witnessing a commander in chief willing to use military force to protect the lives and rights of his citizens. Not corporate interest. Not new global orders. American citizens as individuals are the beneficiaries of these actions today. Every federal official swears an oath to defend the constitution and its citizens. Those who call for death to America have invited this righteous defense of a people and their liberties.

Here’s what Lincoln said about slavery. Same issue. Same party > "Both read the same Bible and pray to the same God, and each invokes His aid against the other. It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God's assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces, but let us judge not that we be not judged."

Has it occured to you that the very people with high net worth and IRAs got there by spending carefully, not overpaying for goods and services, and maneuvering around a byzantine system of taxation. You guys made a living out of advising prudent and legal tax avoidance strategies. Now you want the same people to ignore the punitive IRMAA step ladder. The whole concept is infuriating. “How much is my insurance premium?”. “Good question. How much ya got…?”

You know what boomers don’t like? Buying an asset 30 years ago, making every payment and tax bill, making repairs and maintaining the property only to face a massive tax bill if they sell. Why? Because the biggest component of their “gain” is due to the value of our currency being deflated away. It’s a simple solution: Index the capital gains exclusion for inflation from the time of purchase. Boomers will flood the market with property to escape their annual property taxes.

A Canadian human must wait 6 months for an mri while a Canadian pet can get one the same day. The human is only allowed to get the mri trough the government while the pet can get it through the market. It’s almost as if price signals can allocate resources better…

@feelsdesperate My cat was offered a same day MRI here in Canada. Now if we were to include that in the averages...

The left understands the biggest threat to their narrative machine and grift infrastructure is AI analysis available to the masses at commodity rates. AI techniques employed by Doge, for example have been able to pierce the veil of interconnected ngos and foundations that fund the left. It is in their interest to restrain AI by keeping it stupid with poor training and reduced intellectual capacity.

What we have is a healthcare system. Systems are managed for the benefit of the system owners. Our healthcare systems are very responsive to insurance companies, hospital corporations and pharmaceutical companies. A health care MARKET would serve its customers much better than the system we have now. Government support to individuals to make their own purchase decisions in a vibrant and innovative market is a better way to provide “access” for all.

@BarMexicoSSX @dtmorgan18 I had same experience. Bank manager said “ Your POA is an agreement between you and your mother. It is not binding on us”

@SamaHoole I don’t know about the almond production statistics, but I do now the concentration of bee colonies ensures that whatever disease they get in the almond groves is carried throughout the continent by the end of the North American growing seasons.

@ScottJenningsKY Let’s try this “How often do courts find the Trump administration’s exercise of executive authority is constitutional” Framing is everything. The court is not ruling on the policy, but the right of the executive to actually execute the laws of the United States.

I will say this very slowly so you will understand. There are three and only three branches of government. The Fed is not a court. The Fed is not a legislative body. By power of deduction the Fed is an executive function. The power of the executive is wholly vested in the office of the President, who by the way receives more votes than any other federally elected official. All good so far? This means the Fed is accountable to the President (and the People) or it is an unconstitutional authority.
