We should teach philosophy of science in graduate & medical school so that we don’t churn out doctors/scientists/public health ppl who only believe things work or are worth implementing if they were proven in an RCT. There are many paths to the truth besides RCTs.

I just had a 4 week follow up w/ the 1st patient I placed on Wegovy (sema 2.4) & they have lost 22 lbs already! Their joint pain is gone & asthma is better!! Any physician who doesn’t embrace both medications + lifestyle for weight loss, is doing a huge disservice to patients!

Public health is done face to face and as health care providers we have a duty to talk to the folks we see in clinic about these vaccines—no matter the age. Starting conversations early will help patients feel more comfortable talking to us about any questions they may have.

You probably heard: "We don't know if COVID-19 vaccination protects against transmission." It's an odd statement! Presumably what is meant is: "It almost certainly protects against transmission, but we don't know by exactly how much, and we do know it's less than 100%."

1/16 Why do B12 and folate deficiencies lead to HUGE red blood cells? And, if the issue is DNA synthesis, why are red blood cells (which don't have DNA) the key cell line affected? For answers, we'll have to go back a few billion years.
