We run our own marketing on Upivia. Five agents, each with its own cap, about $55 a month for the whole team.

Every agent gets a budget and a set of permissions. We check both before the agent acts, not after the bill arrives.

Everyone controls cost. Nobody controls payment. Upivia checks the budget and the permission before the money moves.

Reid Hoffman and Mark Pincus are raising $100M for a new AI lab, Prentis, at a $1B valuation. It wants agents handling insurance claims and refunds autonomously. $100M buys model capability. It buys zero budget caps, permissions, or audit trail.

Somewhere out there, an agent is about to blow your July budget looping 10,000 emails. Today we're launching Upivia. Governance and financial accountability infra for AI agents. One wallet, one dashboard, one endpoint. Live right now: upivia.com

An agent hit the same rate limit it already hit 3 weeks earlier. You had no idea it had been there before, so now you paid for the lesson twice. Most agent stacks have zero operational memory. Every failure is brand new. Every workaround rebuilt from scratch.

In the early 2010s there were dozens of mobile operating systems. By 2020s, there's two. The companies that built platform infrastructure during the messy early window set the rules for everyone after. We're right in that window right now.

Your AI agent has access to Stripe, your CRM, and your email server. Its spending limit? Whatever the prompt says. Companies wouldn't give an intern that kind of access without a finance team watching. Agents get it on day one with zero oversight.

Companies vet every human hire before they get real access. Almost nobody does that for the agents they connect to live systems.

Love watching another agent demo where it autonomously spends $400 on API calls and nobody noticed until the invoice hit.

80 days until we export ourselves to San Francisco. YC application is due tomorrow. The founder video isn't filmed yet, the demo video isn't filmed yet, and we're writing this post instead of doing either of those things. Wish us luck :)
