Elite coaches I've worked alongside at a senior level, never spoke too much during a session, they set up the session, mapped out what the session entailed, and then sat back and let the players express themselves, intermittent feedback, then positive reinforcement. Simple.#coach

I held a speech at an elite sports school in Sydney yesterday. It's interesting to see how many kids only know about D1. That's their end goal. When I spoke about the success of my clients across D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO, they realised that it's not "D1 or bust".

Stop making football training ⚽️complex, too many complex drills, too much information overload. Keep sessions simple & consistent, intense & less stop-start. Let the player be free on the ball, let them learn. Ask questions of them, let them express themselves. #collegesoccer
