Hindi film & web series have large urban areas to set their strories in & a large audience to talk to. They can easly choose subjects such as sex wheras kerala is hampered by the absence of such a mileau.to show a factory we have to shift the scene to gurgaon!

The film' kathal 'that won the kerala state award has an english appendage to its name -'the core'.perhaps that one word did the trick ,misleading the jury and everone else besides!first time a film winning an award on the strength of its title alone!
