Responses i see about commander bans tell me people find it easier to rule zero "I shouldn't play with this cause it's too good" as opposed to "I wonder if my play group will let me play 'Golos, random 60 cards from my collection."

2 things happened at commander last night that don't normally. 1) I had a lot of turn 1 Sol rings 2) I won about half my games I think @commandcast touched on this way back. Plus there may be an EDHrec article? Can confirm though, odds to win went up substantially
Wife hates building decks. Built her a deck around her first magic card: Dracogenius dragon/clone tribal and it's awesome. She never plays... 4 yrs later: ask if i should build Dino's, she says yes. Odds of building: 100 Odds of her playing: 0 But now I have Dino's so 😁.

Is there potential in the #commander community for a version of the format that is kind of like modern. Where you can only play cards printed after a certain date, but maybe based on original printing? As a powered down version that isn't based on budget?
