A skilled problem solver responds to uncertainty by breaking ambiguity down into manageable steps, focusing on controllable factors, and adapting continuously as new information emerges.
AGI isn't just "smarter Al"—it's Al with broad, human-level ability across many cognitive tasks. The Goal is learning something in one domain and applying it to unfamiliar problems. The real question isn't whether Al can do one job, but how far general-purpose intelligence.
Opus 5.5 feels like another huge step toward becoming a serious software engineering workflow. Less about generating code. More about understanding context, reasoning through systems, getting work done.
There 5 roles that make up a strong system. Prototyper - prove and validate the idea . Builder - build the system and make it real. Sweeper/Cleaner - fixes errors, bugs and what breaks. Grower - distribution and scaling what works Maintainer - keep it running.
AI genuinely gives me sleepless nights. We’re living through a scary time.
Who would’ve thought that, all this while, building wouldn’t be a thing? Now, scaling and distribution have become the real bottlenecks. It’s now funny how the hardest part of building isn’t writing the code or creating the product.
AI isn’t replacing everyone. But workers who know how to leverage it will have an advantage over those who refuse to adapt.

If you’re applying for jobs with no response, try something different. Build something that solves a real problem. Show how you built it, the problem you solved, and the results. People don’t just hire developers who can code. They hire people they trust to solve problems.
As a software engineer who isn’t looking to pivot into AI/ML engineering role, you have to beyond building projects. Build systems that solve painful problems. AI can help build faster but your ability to identify the right problem is still the edge.
