Throughout history, the care experienced community has faced systemic and cultural oppression, and they haven’t always been afforded the opportunity to meet their full potential.
🧵: Today marks Care Experienced Day of Remembrance, which also concludes the end of Care Experienced History Month. This day was created by care experienced people across the world who demanded recognition of their community and history.

I actually got quite tearful reading this. It’s massive. I can’t put into words what this means. I came to work in the system that traumatised me to see this type of change. Everyone involved in this work is a hero to every wean wounded by the system in Scotland. Thank you ⚖️
