Ted Bundy was at one time dating Cathy, the daughter of Herb Swindler who became part of the Seattle Police Dept investigating the possibility of an occult connection to the spate of murders in the area. Swindler prepared a file known as “File 1004” on occult activities in the region, with some on the force convinced of a cult connection. An angle which was ridiculed by county police and prosecutors.
