My impression has been that DRAM is way more expensive than SSDs, but I am getting a 64GB DDR5 DIMM for $400, and an 8TB NVMe for $4000, which is quite different from what I expected. If we ignore capacity, NVMe drives actually have a lower $/bandwidth.

I keep seeing that H200 is being sold at a lower price than H100. Vendors are offering to replace already used H100s with H200s for free, and cloud providers are replacing H100 VMs with H200 VMs for free for their enterprise customers. Does anyone know what is going on here?
