When a batter is “sitting fastball”, the change up gets him. When a defender is threatened by movement (tippy-toe chops his feet, anticipating the cut) the truck move works best. When D sits for power (rooting the feet, ready to explode) the reacceleration leaves them for dead.

When you put together multiple good ones per game. Two numbers I like to look at for defensive performance and the balance of aggression and efficiency are: Positive grade tackles/missed tackles and # of made tackles per positive grade tackle.

Great little work session. Big hits in bag to mat. Reduce contact@load in body while chasing power. Some controlled body to body work to dial in the little things: height, tightness, grips, squeeze and controlling a real life wiggling body.

Rugby for FB #3 Not many tip passes in FB #2 We have all done distraction drills and noodles are great for smacking on guy #1 I like for isolating the ball over the top, falling back catch. Also useful to do from standing w/fall to make sure jolt of ground don’t cause incomplete.

Another example of getting in on the ball to keep BC from extending close to the line. Also, insane work rate and pursuit. Interestingly, last man getting turned inside-out actually bought the time for help to get there Sometimes the slow loss lets the calvery get on their horse.

Training a situation. Principles not a specified technique “Win the Corner” @ full fight, no impact, staying on feet -If D wins initial; take it back. - If BC gets corner drive out of bounds & protect the goalline Grapple, fight, feet. Can be done with bump/hit or to ground.
