Spoken to MH team after they told us they have no S136 beds overnight. Their backup plan is for us to call other trusts to ask for a bed because they ‘have no contract’ with the other trusts so won’t look for alternative places for us! So much for a ‘National’ Health Service…

If you call 999 accidentally please stay on the line and explain that to the BT operator. Either that or actually answer the phone when I try to call you back… In just over an hour I have taken 12 calls, 10 of which have been abandoned calls to 999 😕

Halloween weekend off to a good start. Nearest custody for my officers has no HCP for the next 24hrs. The next closest is now at capacity. 30-50 minute drive to custody now depending where on the LPA they make an arrest 😬

Working 10:00-19:00 today. One of my least favourite shifts as I’m not normally hungry when I get up and I inevitably end up trying to bring in enough food for three meals.

Early turn today, first one back. I think the officers are hiding from me. No one calling up and no one booked on yet. Almost like they know I have a stack of jobs from yesterday to hand out… At least I have time to drink my coffee 😁
