@millerman Thomas Kuhn showed us in 1962 that science is subjective as it’s practiced by human scientists. Humans too train and judge AI, which draws on data mostly produced by humans. I suspect AI, in its mature form, will tell us what “we” want to hear. And that would not be wisdom.

@MrPatMineo Sportsmanship is more important now than ever. Respect the rules of your sport. How hard is it to hold on to your headgear? Not calling a violation in one instance hardly justifies not calling it in another. Painful lesson learned. I doubt we’ll see another P’ton headgear “drop.”

@_CLancellotti The fact is a large share of the few remaining practicing Protestants combine their idea of sola scriptura & sola fide to instrumentalize their faith so it conforms w/their worldly goals. What alarms them today is not loss of faith but loss of US econ. leverage re China.
