Our #tdsb Maintenance folks make $5-$10 an hour less than they could outside the board. Asked one yesterday why he works here... The guy does magic keeping obsolete equipment functioning. He says he has kids, and hopes that someone like him is looking after his kid's school.

I have indoor shoes & outdoor shoes. Mud, dog do do, & nasty microbes from the sidewalk are not welcome in my home. Meanwhile, I pay off my credit card every month.
Requiring shoes off in the house is a key indicator that you're in debt up to your eyeballs and just "seem" wealthy. It makes you look like an unstable sociopath. The hillbilly bourgiousie and the wealthy don't bother at all.
