@OskSta @ExUtumno Unfortunately its just a normal grid. This algorithm is cool because it creates a very organic look but it’s definitely lacking some features. Also, thanks for the help at NGJ. It was some very good input for our project!

@ExUtumno Its a old ML algorithm for aproximating a shape with a grid. a demo can be found here: demogng.de. The grid is just deformed squared yes. Thank you very much for your work on WFC:)

@OskSta @on_code Ah ok. This algorithm only relaxes nodes in relation to one other selected node, so they don't affect each other. The algorithm is demoed here if you are interested: demogng.de

@OskSta @on_code The relaxation is part of the algorithm and needs to be applied every step, but it could definitely be improved with some learning rate adjustments .We have actually not considered non simple grids! That's definitely worth exploring. Thanks for the tip!

@OskSta @on_code Very cool! We are trying to do something similar with Growing Neural Grids. It does not produce as impressive results as yours though!
