@Rennietime @santaanitapark I've been betting in SoCal for 30 years. This is easily the worst DQ I have ever witnessed. At this point, there needs to be a central, national steward making the ultimate call so there is some uniformity across jurisdictions.

Rennies quick breakdown of the Dq from race2 Saturday. The fact the @santaanitapark stewards agreed with jockey and took the 4 down is out right cheating. I’ll post his quote and the chart below. This makes me not want to play horses more than the CAW stuff. The stewards are not following the rules anymore.

@JustinNicklas1 Agreed. Add my 33 years to you 20+ years, and that's the most absurd in 50 years! This happens in every turf race with horses trying to save ground.

@HorseToWatch Thank you David for using your voice to amplify this issue. I have been playing for 30 years in SoCal and have never seen a horse DQ'd for such a minor infraction. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it really does make you believe there was some personal vendetta behind it.

There have been plenty of dubious DQs in California over the last few years, but that decision in the Chillingworth yesterday has to be right up at the top of the list. No clue how you justify that.

@FanDuel_Racing @santaanitapark @Gainesway I don't understand this DQ. Horses try to cross over to save ground in every race. You could DQ a horse in almost every race for this "infraction". The #3 horse was not going for that spot.

Today is a sad day in horse racing. TVG/FanDuel is officially going away. Am I surprised??? Not at all. This is what decades of poor leadership, mismanagement, and a complete lack of vision looks like. TVG/FanDuel wasn't just a television network. It was horse racing's best marketing engine. It created horseplayers. It created owners. It created lifelong fans. For more than 25 years, TVG/FanDuel educated, entertained, and inspired people with passion, energy, integrity, and authenticity. Nobody covered this sport better because nobody loved it more. What a great team of people!!!!! And now with the leadership entities in racing sitting on 100s of millions we're just letting it disappear. 🤦‍♂️ Don't underestimate what happens next. Handle will decline. Fewer fans will discover racing. Fewer owners will enter the game. More tracks will close. This is so much more than losing a TV network. This is accelerating the decline of an already struggling sport. Personally, I wouldn't own 300+ racehorses today without TVG/FanDuel and I probably wouldn't even be the racing fan I am today without them. Every interview and appearance on that network was an honor. Every person I met there genuinely loved horse racing and fought every day to make it better. My heart breaks for every employee and every family affected. They all deserved better.   ♥️🙏  Thank you TVG/FanDuel.

@RepoleStable Very gracious of you Mike, and happy for Cherrie, but let's keep it real. Renegade was much the better horse in the Derby.

Using the last 35 runnings of the KY Derby since 1991, it's pretty clear you want to favor horses who last raced at OP or GP, and fade those from FG or KEE. This suggests Further Ado and Emerging Market are contenders to bet against. Longshots likely to come from SA or TP.

@derby1592 Would be interesting to know which horses have won the Modern Triple Crown.

@TaylorMadeSales @kmpick6 Thank you to the Taylor Made team for hosting us - it was the highlight of our visit!

@HorseToWatch They should take the top 15 based on points, and have 5 at-large berths chosen by a selection committee. There are always going to be exceptions no matter what the points rules are. Both Cornucopian and Baeza would make for a much more interesting and competitive Derby.

@RepoleStable 1. Ability to lay horses in addition to current backing of horses. Currently enabled via exchanges, but could be done through traditional tote system too. 2. In-race betting. 3. Margin of victory betting 4. Larger pools enabled via World Pools

Terrific piece about two great people living their best lives. Love them both. @santaanitapark From Training to Equine Therapy, Chews Finding New Balance in Idaho disq.us/t/4nzxp2k

@LynchySSR Will you be providing your Breeders Cup analysis for DRF this year? If not, will it be available elsewhere?

@goofonroof If it makes you feel any better, my key bet in the last were straight exactas Bally's Charm on top of Eastern Ocean, Carmelita's Man, and Tio Magico. So in addition to the $20K double I hit that squeaked out the win, I too would have hit your same exacta big.

@Quigleys_Corner @santaanitapark @Xpressbet Thank you Tom! Winning wager was $500 double in the last race from Positivity to Bally's Charm.

@RealIrishMan It would be an Arrogate-Pharoah cold exacta easy.

@HorseRacingPPs @546wins @DesormeauxKent @jockey_dflores One of my all-time faves. Showed his talent in his very first start. Saw him in the paddock before Pacific Classic - couldn't have looked any better or more focused that day and beat an exceptional field.
