@AriGoldkind He's not being deported on the basis of whether he is a "monster". He is being deported on the basis of the fact s.36(1) of the IRPA deems him inadmissible. How he compares to other so-called "monsters" who aren't being deported really isn't relevant in any way.

@CofRedCentral @bettsyboy98 They absolutely should be in the top 10 pick range. But I don't know that it's necessarily unrealistic that they start bringing in players that would push them over that line, yet obviously nowhere near contention worthy (i.e. Flame land---the mushy middle)

Given Conroy's and the player's end-of-season comments, there is a very real chance they try to gun for a playoff spot again (and fail), but end up above 10th overall---thus giving MTL the CGY 1st instead. Unfortunately.

@bettsyboy98 @CofRedCentral I don't follow. There being a lot of good D in the draft shouldn't mean you should chase a D if a F is still the BPA at 9th when you go to pick. This team needs *everything*. Can't be picky about positions this early in the "retool"/"rebuild'.

@MatchsticksCGY If it's the best package, don't care. By the time CGY are ready to contend Stone will be half cyborg with donated organs, Eichel will be well into his 30s, Marchessault, Pietrangelo, Karlsson et al will be in retirement homes. I don't think they have that long of a window left
