I did not like the term ‘Best Practice’ for a multitude of reasons the biggest one being that best practice is usually mediocre practice not Leasing practice. I would rather call practices Interesting and Useful practice.

Following recipes is a kind of cooking. At some level, it is needed. Consistent reproduction of a menu item can be important in some applications. But knowing how flavors work together and various techniques of prep are far more important -- even for the home cook.

We all know how important saying no is right? I don't. I can still get easily overwhelmed and must continue to practice saying no. It's hard because it often makes me feel like I'm not being nice when I tell someone I can't help them. What is your experience with saying no?

Scrum Guide uses the word velocity Zero times and the word Sprint Goal 27 times. Scrum is about outcomes not outputs.

Yes indeed, those are 2 of 4 of the guiding principles in #modernagile. I find that a lot of noise drops away when we focus on these principles.

Sometimes the "best thing" your team can do is to help another team finish something rather than your team starting something new. I find it rarely happens though, often because we do sprint planning in isolation. I hear opportunities when I attend (coach) multiple teams standups
