For a healthy ecosystem we need to protect snakes from being caught, killed and having their natural habitats destroyed. Educating communities on living safely alongside snakes can go a long way towards a #HealthierTomorrow.

Snakes are essential for a balanced food web. Without them, a growing population of rodents would destroy crops vital for local economies. With climate change & urban expansion, #snakes lose their natural habitats more interaction with people = more #snakebites. #WorldHealthDay

Our Kenya in-country partner @dorojuma1 shares community engagement findings around advocacy and rights. The importance of research and capturing voices of snakebite affected communities themselves comes up again. Very important to ensure adequate funding in this area.
