This presentation is pivotal, but not in a good way. It would appear the fix is in. Dissident doctors, scientists and journalists pulled the curtain all the way back during Covid, each at spectacular personal cost. Meanwhile, those in power destroyed their credibility. It would be natural for the dissidents to lead any true Covid investigation. But power has other plans. If power is to survive an exploration of the Covid catastrophe, it must prevent the vindication of the dissidents. Instead power will promote its friends to scold them *and* the dissidents equally, so we can have an empty catharsis and get back to business as usual—without any meaningful change. This is the process that ensures no one is held accountable. I call it the Middle Ground Scramble. The important slide is at 25:00. Make no mistake, #Drastic is there only to give the slide gravitas. Your new heroines are nominated at the top of the screen. They are the rocks. And Bill Gurley, it seems, is the Siren.

This is so sad. May God provide comfort to all who loved Arday and may he rest in peace.

Jason Arday, the former University of Cambridge professor, has been found dead. Mr Arday was found “unresponsive” at an address in Battersea, London, on Friday afternoon and later pronounced dead at the scene. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/08/1…

@DrewPap85 Brilliant!

Imagine a giant rolling heist whose challenge is that it will take so long that the first parts will be discovered before the latter parts are complete. So what the robbers have to do as they go is continually corrupt the authorities, scare off or fool potential vigilantes, and intimidate rival gangs who see the game and want a piece. Maybe the whole piece. That's how I see the current corruption scene.

I finally figured out what's wrong with "everything." It's a system problem. The introduction of Trump into the system(s) broke almost everything, and in multiple ways. The fake news created a White Supremacist hysteria, which led to the Fine People Hoax and the George Floyd Hoax, which led to massive DEI, which led to massive systemic incompetence in all of our systems at once. Add wokeness and cancelation and we can't discuss the issue, much less fix it. That's a system problem. The corrective mechanism (free speech) has been removed. On top of that, the Trump experience has made it clear all of our government systems are corrupt. They probably always were, but as long as we didn't notice, things limped along okay. Now we notice. Now we don't accept "the science" we know is corrupt. We don't accept the omnibus bills we know are corrupt. We don't accept the foreign wars that look sketchy. We don't accept elections we can't fully audit. We don't trust the news, for good reason. We don't trust our intel services to not be agents of one party. And we see the justice departments weaponized. While all that happened Soros found a way to take control of all American systems via funding of non-government entities and integrating them into the American systems. But at the head of the snake is the fake news and fake science. There is no correcting mechanism. The X platform is the only counterforce, and that's why the crooks are trying to take it out, and Musk at the same time.

One of the best I've ever met.

Nothing did more for the 9-year-old boy’s self image than looking down from the dusty shadows of that ancient gymnasium ceiling at the open mouths of his classmates staring back up at him.

I really miss Scott Adams

I've said before that ship captains during the age of discovery were some of the most impressive human beings to ever live. We have trouble appreciating just how unimaginably great these men were. They had to play the role of navigator, cartographer, astronomer, logistics manager, military commander, judge, police captain, diplomat, CEO, recruiter, accountant and governor, all at the same time, and all under extreme duress, out in the middle of the ocean, cut off from the rest of the world where the penalty for one wrong decision was the death of everyone on board. These are some of the most brilliant and gifted human beings the world has ever known. Nobody on Earth today can come close to matching them. They had a level of both skill and physical courage that just doesn't exist on the planet today.

We should not overlook the heroism of @_whitneywebb who provided huge detail about the big players in the Epstein papers long before the highly redaced papers got released. Now I will go back to binge watching @AnaKasparian and @cenkuygur.

Find something, anything, to be fundamentalist about, ideally something very, very old, because there will be no truth out there soon, none, just an endlessly shifting, windy phantasmagoria. So find a mast and lash yourself to it. Heck, even classical herbalism will do.

This is a travesty. We should not be paying a single dollar in taxes until this is fully addressed. We raised and distributed $500,000 in goods directly to fire relief victims, with zero waste and zero leakage. Hundreds of Orange County and Huntington Beach neighbors stepped up, volunteered, donated, and helped each other in real time. Meanwhile, established organizations were siphoning money meant for victims.
