If these “tests” are done under exam conditions, using past papers, then these ARE exams. Learners and Teachers deserve the truth.

Last year @sqanews said there would be no exams this year. Instead they have pupils sitting “tests” on last years past papers under exam conditions for teachers to mark 🤔 No prelims sat before Christmas or work done remotely will be counted towards learners estimated grades 🤯

School league tables achieve nothing but confirmation bias for those in “top” ranked schools and can cause demotivation to the teachers in the “lowest” ranked schools, lower learners confidence, and write learners off before they’ve had the chance. Abolish league tables.

Build Back Kinder is calling on the new Scottish Government to make Child and Adolescent Mental Health Treatment a priority this term. Years waiting on CAHMS list is not acceptable as we enter a Mental Health Pandemic amongst young people. Action is needed now.

I would definitely agree with this statement, as much as I’d love to be back on school again it’s about keeping everyone safe and well. Home schooling definitely is extremely tough on us pupils too we are getting millions of work and becoming extremely overwhelmed.
