People will eat like trash, forget to drink water, hardly move all day, and will deprive themselves of sleep and sunshine. Then they’ll convince themselves the only way to lose weight or feel better is to jump on a peptide. Their bodies aren’t failing them, it’s their lifestyles.

When it comes to Men’s Health we can track quite a few lab markers to verify health improvements. Two simpler hints that things are moving in the right direction are consistent morning erections and an increased drive to accomplish more/divide & conquer.

Can we normalize: Instead of signing up for a NPC show-use the money you’d spend on division entry fees, travel expenses, posing 1:1 lessons, and spray tans on a international beach destination vacation. Hire a coach. Apply the same effort. Use less gear and diuretics. Get in the best shape of your life. You’re almost guaranteed to spend a similar amount and more than likely will have the most admired physique on resort ALL while experiencing an unforgettable vacation. Zero post show regrets. ❤️ 💪

@RetaUnfiltered There are clinics out there charging $200 for 15mg of BPC157/15mg of TB500 and $150 for a doctor visit every 6 months……🙋🏼‍♂️ No worries of seized custom packs or endotoxins or LPS in RUO.

Stop letting your doc run just Total Cholesterol and LDL for your lipid markers. You’re only popping the hood and you need to pull the engine apart to see if there’s really an issue. Here are my favorite markers to run for a true “behind the curtains” snapshot of your heart health: Lp(A): your genetic disposition for CVD. Below 75 great. Above 125 means you’re high risk and have to pay even more attention to your lipids. Triglycerides to HDL Ratio: One of the more accurate tells if you really need a statin. 1.5:1 or less is ideal. Don’t just go off if LDL is high. Apo B: stronger predictor of heart disease risk. Sum of our plaque causing particles. 90 or less is what we want. Hs-CRP: your body’s inflammation is an often overlooked perspective for heart health and is deadly when combined with plaque. Aiming for less than 1.0. sdLDL: the small dense particles that cause the issues not the big ones. These are easily oxidized into bad news plaque. Less than 25 optimal, greater than 49 high risk. oxLDL: the oxidized LDL final product that leads to plaque. Less than 60 ideal, above 70 higher risk. Homocysteine: methylation issue causing free radicals to circulate and rough up your vessels so sdLDL can grab hold and stay. Less than 9 ideal. Fasting Insulin: signals insulin issues ages before a glucose test reveals. Insulin ignites plaque increasing Cardiovascular issues. Less than 6 is ideal. Once you know these exist it’s hard to not test them for more accurate health summaries.

I run into a lot of guys who won’t miss a Tren or Primo injection- but always seem to overlook their daily: Vitamin D3/K2 (10,000-15,000iu) Magnesium (800mg) Fish Oil (5g+) Creatine (10g+) CoQ10 (200-400mg) Apple Cider Vinegar (1-3x daily) TUDCA (1g+) NAC (1g+) Benfotiamine (600mg+) Methylated B Complex Bedtime ritual with no blue light Skipping the essentials over the designer stuff usually ends up with generic results.

Subtle Observation: Some of y’all really doing synthetic oil changes every 6,000 miles, rotating tires every 10,000 miles, air filter every 6 months, and cabin filter swaps every other oil change with your daily driver vehicles. But when it comes to your body-you’re eating out daily, sitting at a desk all day, doing cookie cutter lab work every couple of years, and just labeling chronic illness signals as “aging”. Can we normalize treating our bodies better than our vehicles?! Trading in our bodies isn’t an option-we are stuck with the trim level we bought the day we were born. Time to get to work on the greatest restoration project you’ll ever do.

I held on to being the “life of the party” guy without knowing how much better it felt to finally be labeled the “family man”.

If ALT and AST show “fine”, still a good measure to maximize liver support. I’ve seen so many people with poor bile flow and detox-liver values were “fine” on labs. You’ve been exposed to chemicals and toxins at minimum-reason enough to take the liver supps but certainly as a precaution for other things. Easiest way to check is to check waking body temp. Should be above 97.6 right out of bed. If not, we know liver is having trouble making free T3 hormone.

I’d wait until Triglycerides, ApoB, and HDL come back. Those numbers don’t look bad if your Trig to HDL ratio is 1.5:1 or less and Apo B is less than 90. Our bodies need cholesterol (especially are Brains-dementia and Alzheimer’s all time high bc everyone is driving cholesterol down). Many people don’t realize our liver plays a big role in converting cholesterol to sex hormone. Before modifying diet any you could just boost liver support with NAC, TUDCA, Glycine, Glutathione. Clear up sluggish bile and really optimize liver performance which very well could lower LDL and lead to more free T3 hormone conversion translating to higher energy, warmer body temps, and much faster metabolism .

@JasonXinTX I second this! Absolute night and day difference vs using the typical 3mL syringes. We make all our pharmacies ship them to patients now instead of 3mL.

I sat down with our clinician Stu Riggins this week to discuss a variety of relevant topics surrounding performance medicine. If you can’t even tell me how many grams of protein a day you’re consuming - I can’t take your “Ive tried everything to lose weight and can’t” seriously.

4 things that truly changed my life for the absolute BEST: 1) God 2) Monogamy 3) Kids 4) Testosterone

Something we hear frequently operating a Performance Medicine Clinic: “I don’t want to depend on Replacement Hormones for the rest of my life” On the same note-patients will openly admit that they WILL have to move to healthier nutrition and workout routines for the rest of their lives. Like a fire-there are 3 main ingredients to improving quality of life and adding years to life expectancy. 1) Hormone Optimization 2) Intentional Shifts in Food Intake 3) Resistance Training-Lifting Heavy Remove one element-and you dramatically impact how effective the remaining elements work. You’re committing to a multi-faceted approach that translates into a higher quality of life for your years remaining. Start looking at your hormones the same way you do diet and working out. They’re all life long commitments. It’s just as wild to say you don’t want to rely on eating healthy or working out long term. Chronic illness and disease slowly work their way into your body as you age when you skip any one of the 3 elements. Once you finally start feeling really WELL-no one ever says they wish they could go back to feeling like they used to.

Are you still going to your Primary Care spot for HRT/TRT and still wondering why you're not seeing any results? The scale isn't moving. Energy levels haven't improved. You don't feel any better. You don't look any better. You're certainly not performing better. Your primary care provider spends about a day in medical school covering hormones. They spend even less time on Diet and Resistance Training. Gut, Liver, and Metabolic Health are all typically not even considered because your surface level lab markers came back "fine". They are held to the fire by insurance on what lab panels they can order-and what medications they can prescribe. Peptides are not approved by insurance. You have a brief 5-8 minutes to visit with them to get to the bottom of all your symptoms. They're often times trying to shoot a target they can't even see. They're writing on their prescription pad HOPING for best. They're trained to treat symptoms, not fix. Cash-based Performance Medicine clinics not handcuffed by insurance can order the labs you actually need to see to assess root causes. They've pursued extensive supplemental training on hormones and peptides to stay up to date with modern medicine instead of relying on dated studies from 30+ years ago. The science advancement in the last 10 years has been AMAZING. Cash-based patient visits often times are 45-60 min in length. Targets can precisely be identified leading to highly successful plans to address root causes for symptoms. Follow up lab testing can confirm progress.
