@Classicbritcom He is an excellent actor, who worked in many television dramas, both one offs and serials, throughout the 60-80s, which people tend not to be that aware of now due to the BBC's lack of willingness to regularly screen such material today.

@bloodoftheland Their output tends to be based upon very poor and generic scripts (at least at the shooting stage), with consistently poor dialogue which might as well (could have) been written by AI. Both their films and esp. TV series tend to be enormously drawn out & overextended also.

@Brick_Cop @ukhomeoffice The Scottish mergers needn't have been a disaster, but have been due to the closure of local stations and facilities and unnecessary creation of larger local police areas. The RUC and PSNI managed in NI under much greater difficulties, especially in the case of the RUC.
