@docanarchy I am sure you read "The House of God". It has a lot of humor, but it is funny because it was mostly true. "Do nothing" was a skill for the residents to learn.

@DaveMishkin @TBLightning Agreed, if the Lightning play like that the rest of the series, they will come out on top. Both goaltenders played very well in my opinion. Lightning dominated the OT overall.

@RemnantMd The same biologic plausibility argument also explains the side effect of muscle pain and rhabdomyolysis in the most severe instances. Plus the increased risk of type 2 diabetes. It was interesting that when that information came out, the "experts" immediately said benefits>risk.

@docanarchy Overall, I agree. However, there are risks to vag delivery also. Pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, bladder and bowel fistulas to name a few. ( these are very distressing to the pt.). Close all layers after c sec, vigorous irrigation and avoid most adhesions.

@LeoSerpa142 @THORChain @aantonop Same in medicine, good physicians can communicate with patients so that they fully understand. If you talk to them only in “doctor speak” you are not an effective physician.

@realmetalass @maxkeiser IMO, this is the fatal flaw of those who claim to be “experts” in their particular field. “Science advances one funeral at a time” was a quote I heard years ago. The old school experts are unable to accept new ideas despite overwhelming evidence. Ego prevents it.

@Doffx @SBakerMD You’re right, it’s not. The old thinking about nutrition and obesity is so ingrained in medical professionals that it will take many years to change, even when clear evidence to the contrary is right in front of them. This is true in many areas of medicine.
