I am sorry I have not posted more. The last few weeks have been hard. I ended up in the hospital and was diagnosed with a heart problem. Because of that I have not focused much on my game, but I look forward to getting back to work on it. #IndieGameDev #gamedevelopment

The chunk loading system is working (one at a time for testing). Now I need to have a system for loading and unloading objects in each chunk as needed. Still need to fix the visual bugs around the edges as well but I have not come up with a solution yet. #IndieGameDev #gamedev

The chunk system is working. I now need to figure out how to store entities for loading and unloading chunks so they are despawning when moving out of the chunk. Also so they are persistent between loads, and don't move around. #indiegameDev #indiegame #procgen #gamedevelopment

I decided to change my game map to use 16x16 chunks. Now that the chunks load/unload properly I am having a problem figuring out how to calculate the edge cases between tile types along the chunk edges. I hope I can come up with a solution to fix it. #IndieGameDev #gamedev

For #screenshotsaturday I was able to complete the attack animations in all directions. Now I'm working on fixing some bugs when changing the screen size. Then hopefully I can start adding more details to the game world. #indiegameDev #indiegame #gamedev #2danimation

I've been working on cutting down trees in the game. I need to add the player animations and a tree felling animation with better random drop angles for the logs. But the inventory is working. I also still need to implement stacking. #IndieGameDev #gamedev #gamedevelopment

Since I got the items system started last week I decided to try and add a #campfire. I like the way it came out so far. I also added simple idle #animations to the player. It still needs work. I think chopping down trees is next. #IndieGameDev #indiedev #gamedev #pixelart

Today I was able to implement the start of my item and inventory system. The items for now are just a placeholder square. But they can be picked up by the player and put in the players inventory. 😃 #indiegameDev #indiegame #gamedevelopment #gamedev

Decided to do some Engine Stress Testing. 3000 #rabbits seemed like the limit for 60 fps. I felt like I was playing Where's Waldo. (mountain collision was off so the rabbits could spread out) #IndieGameDev #indiedev #procgen

I was able to get two layers of mountains working again. I think I am back to where I was before switching to #libgdx. The next task is to rewrite the map generation class so it is more object oriented. Currently it is a bit of a mess. #indiegameDev #procgen #indiegame
