I dont know why Acrrm makes life so difficult for GP registrars. Talking to yet another Reg yesterday who is looking at swapping to RACGP, who seem to now be more rural friendly than ACRRM. 🙄

Saw someone throw a sharp in the recycling bin. It’s the same color as the contaminated waste bin 😬😬. Sharp safely removed, doesn’t seem like a good system.

Patient sees me in GP with CHF, I check them out, tweak BP meds and review in a few days.15min Same pt sees me in hospital, cxr, path, ecg, pivc. Assess. Tweak meds, follow up with GP. At least 90min…..

Just showed an RN how to suture a wound. Looks great. More and more my job is making decisions and taking responsibility, which is fine. I dont need to do every procedure. With DR shortage, I’m trying to get RN to do more of my work (if they want to) #winwin
